Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) was established in the year 2007, with an intake of 240 students in four B. Tech programs under Social Educational Trust in Nambur village, Guntur, AP, by Er. Vasireddy Vidya Sagar. In a short span of ten years, with an annual intake capacity of 1740 students into B.Tech (CE, EEE, ME, ECE, CSE, IT, AI&DS, AI&ML, IoT, Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology) and 90 students into M. Tech (CSE, VLSI&ES, PEED, MD, SE) programmes respectively, today almost 4130 students, 352 teaching staff and 250 non- teaching staff strive to fulfil the vision of VVIT.
Centre of Excellence (CoE) by Siemens India was established in the year 2016 under MoU with APSSDC, AP to promote Industry Institute interface and strengthen employability skills in students. It is the youngest Engineering College in the state to achieve this recognition. MoUs with Google Inc. USA for establishing Google Code labs, University Innovative Fellowship (UIF) program by Stanford University USA and Venture Development Centre established by Northeastern University. Students are encouraged to become members in professional bodies like CSI, IEEE, IE(I), ISTE, ASME, ASCE etc. and organize seminars, workshops, colloquies in the college.
On achieving permanent affiliation to JNTU, Kakinada, NAAC “A” grade certification (CGPA 3.09) and all B. Tech programmes are accredited by NBA. Realizing the slogan that “Everyone Counts” , VVIT has the unique achievement of having placed most its students in MNCs like Tech Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Athena Health Care, Open Text, etc.
